Fabulous Farmstay Experience! Great hosts and staff! We did it all in our two night stay: farm tour, foraging wild plants, herbs & flowers, Farm to Table dining, relaxing in huge bath in Moonlit Suite! From Farm to table dinner perfectly paired with Crooked Feeder Brewing and dishes topped with Five Brothers Artisan cheese to foraged herbs plants and flowers transformed into a “light” something in the greenhouse, Upper Humber Settlement exceeds expectations. Lauralee tops it all by her dramatic and heartfelt storytelling of the history of War Veterans farming in post WWII through the words of an English war bride’s journal. ❤️

Lauralee, her husband Mark were such great hosts to us during our stay.Her mother Noblee cooked a delicious meal as one morning Lauralee had to be out one morning.It was so relaxing, felt like home and such a treat to stay there for 3 nights while I traveled in the area for work.

Our room was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. Our hosts welcoming and gracious. The breakfast delicious. And the tour of the farm extremely interesting. I can’t think of a better way to start a trip to the west coast of Newfoundland. Thank you Laura lee and Mark!

Everything I wanted to say about this incredible place has already been expressed so beautifully!The location is perfect as a central base for Western Newfoundland, the cleanliness in all areas of the house was perfect, delicious breakfasts, and most importantly I loved the hosts.Mark and Lauralee (and Katie)absolutely wonderful; welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. I loved that Lauralee shared info., history about Cormack and the whole island! I so wished that this had been our first stop in Newfoundland. Next time it will definitely be that!

An incredible stay at Lauralee’s B&B! Just WOW!! Perfectly situated to explore western Newfoundland. The house is exceptionally clean and well decorated and our room was warm & cozy. The kitchen was well equipped and we very much appreciated being able to prepare our breakfast and cook our own suppers. It was a pleasure to come back every evening after a long day exploring and enjoy the fire-pit or a delicious bakeapple tea. Lauralee and her team (including her mom!) are incredibly welcoming & accommodating, sending us off every morning with hot coffee and homemade muffins or banana bread. Lauralee always responded instantly to my questions or requests. Superb service! Highly recommended!

We stayed there for three nights, and booked two different rooms. They were nice and well-equipped. The bed was very comfortable, and the common area had very cozy couches. Breakfast was made fresh every morning, and was truly farm to table. Lauralee was very hospitable, and offered very helpful tips for sightseeing in the region.

This farm stay was beautiful. B&Bs are always a personal experience but this one outstands for sure. The bed was comfy, the room was very warm and cozy designed and the farm on its own is beautiful. It was so nice to have a chat in the morning.And last but not least: The breakfast was astonishing.

I cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Upper Humber Settlement! Our hosts were fantastic, friendly and full of information. They gave us wonderful recommendations of things to see and do. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast both mornings was delicious, full of farm fresh and local ingredients. Definitely the place to stay!

We had a great experience and wanted to recommend this place to everyone! We chose a B&B over hotel because we wanted to talk with local and hear more stories from them, and I’m glad we chose here! Laurelee told us lots of great stories and awesome recommendations to visit. Not to mention the organic food directly from the farm.

We didn't stay at the B&B but visited for the dinner and storytelling experience. It was great! The food and paired local beers were delicious and the story was entertainingly told in segments with each course. The hosts were welcoming and warm. Overall a fun and unique experience.
